On Monday, September 16, a Japanese delegation (consisting on WheeLog! and Nikken Sekkei Ltd. representatives) visited several of Barcelona’s most iconic sites as part of a cultural study tour. Their itinerary included a presentation about Universal Design by Francesc Aragall, president of Design for All International, and Alex Dobaño, CEO of Avanti Studio, in Torre Glòries, the newly transformed Plaça de les Glòries. The group also explored the impressive Encants Market building.
Highlights included a guided tour of the still-under-construction Sagrada Família, stressing its wayfinding system and the Sant Antoni Market superblock.
They also visit the Barcelona LGBTI Centre, showcasing the city’s commitment to diversity. The delegation praised Barcelona's blend of history, innovation, and inclusiveness.
The visit concluded at the ME Barcelona Hotel where Access Safety presented their flooring systems and offered an aperitive.
