The goal of making passenger information in public transport accessible to passengers with reduced abilities has long been pursued by the Wiener Linien.

The aim4it app corresponds to the multi-sensual principle, so that information can be available visually, acoustically and in sign language. This principle also conforms to the meaning of a Design for All application.

Users have the option to select a profile according to their specific mobility impairment:

- Passengers in wheelchairs receive visual information on their mobile phones.

- Blind passengers and visually impaired passengers receive the information via the text2speech channel.

- Hearing-impaired and deaf passengers have unfettered access to notifications regarding service interruptions in sign language, their native language.

In combination with existing visual and tactile guidance systems, aim4it provides barrier-free access to information and service interruptions and offers passengers with increased information needs a self-determined journey and easy access to the public transport system even in case of perturbations

aim4it provides routing and re-routing not only for people with special needs, but for all passengers!
