“Ensemble, à part Ted?” (Together, except Ted?)
“Ensemble, à part Ted?” is a game, designed by Le JOK'coeur, that aims to fight against discrimination. It stages fictional characters in situations of discrimination, stigmatization or shelving and emphasizes with the characters, exploring feelings and emotions.
It encourages players to express unlimited stereotypes, beliefs and prejudices to size up moral impact on victims and to develop empathy. This game also offers a better understanding of the laws and remedies.
Flow of the game/length: 1h30 minimum
Two teams are playing: Lambdas (who discriminates) and a fictional character (victim)
A problematic situation is chosen and presented to all (discrimination, stigmatization or shelving).
The object of the game is to get out of the problematic situation all together and find minimum two benefits to cooperation. The two teams will have to talk, listen and negotiate, be attentive and empathize with each other.
